The Causes Of Poverty

The causes of poverty are many, among them we find:
 Political problems.
• Crisis in financial markets.
 Natural disasters.
inadequate environmental Question (misuse of natural resourcesby man).

They have proposed different methodologies to measure povertyon the planetSome use pecuniary indicators (gross domestic product in: emo, PBI), others look at life issues (life expectancy, daily calorie intake, etc.) and other aspects of education (illiteracy, etc.).
Each of these indicators has advantages and disadvantages and their application depends on the purpose pursued.

The United Nations Program for Development presented the World Report 1997, a human poverty index, HPI, whose aim was to include the different characteristics of deprivation of quality of life. This index takes account of these variables m:
Percentage of population with life expectancy below 40 years.
• Percentage of illiterate adults.
• Percentage of people without access to health services andpotable water.
• Percentage of children under five victims of malnutrition.
